Psychotherapy
Verbal psychotherapy may be better suited to those who feel more comfortable talking either face to face or virtually. My psychotherapeutic approach can combine a number of different approaches best suited to you. Providing help with a range of problems and symptoms relating to psychological distress. This helps over time to support you in gaining insight and understanding of the emotional and mental difficulties you're experiencing.

Dyadic parent-child therapy
Dyadic Parent-Child Art Psychotherapy provides an approach that allows for the focus to be for the most part directly on the child’s main attachment. I will offer a safe space to facilitate you and your child's relationship. This therapy works particularly well with adopted and looked after children and their parent/carers. Creating art together within the therapeutic process will introduce understandings, which are non-conscious and non-verbal, in addition to ones expressed feelings. Dyadic art therapy can provide a space for a better understanding of one and other.

Scaffolding for Adopters
Scaffolding for Adopters is a course that has been shaped to fill the gap, identified by adopters, between placement and post order. There is plenty of known support for families post order, but this period of an indeterminate state can be a challenging time and our course will offer therapeutic understanding and knowledge.
Providing a holistic service of support and insight to those parents that are at the beginning of their journey, with a child in mind. Sessions will cover aspects of attachment, expectations vs reality of adoption, Play Acceptance Curiosity and Empathy (PACE), behaviour strategies, identifying signs of sensory processing difficulties and a space for self-reflection. This is also a space where parents will be listened to without judgement, their thoughts and feelings validated, suggestions and support offered.
